Beauty is everywhere. The pursuit of beauty is one of the most important ‘races’ that everyone faces in their daily life. We are taught that beauty can only be accentuated with the latest styles, trendiest clothing and most expensive accessories. However, all of that does not define ‘beauty’. Beauty in its simplest terms can be seen no matter the size, skin color or personality trait. Sadly, society tells us what is, or is not, beauty.
Being presentable and feeling attractive is something that we love; it is something that makes us feel part of society. Nothing about self-loathing or degradation is healthy. However, that is what has come about as we slowly digest a warped view of beauty. Fitting into a certain criteria of appearances is what we think is beautiful. We look at famous actors and actresses and base our expectations on how they look.We use skin-lightening creams, anti-ageing serums, anti- acne creams and all sorts of other creams to keep our appearances attractive. So, what is beauty? Beauty is a combination of personality, style, features and appearances. It is the simplicity, as well as the versatility, of something that authenticates beauty. Inner beauty is neglected at the expense of external beauty. Simplicity of it is what matters. Less is more.
