It will attract professional artists from Burundi, Uganda, Kenya and TanzaniaOrganised by Lavender Rwanda Ltd, organisers hope the event will excite residents and showcase Rwanda’s rich variety of talent.Pasal R. Kayihura, the managing director of Lavender Rwanda Ltd, said that the aim of the exhibition is to boost the local talent through interaction and exchange of ideas with expatriates from other regions."We’re organising the event for the first time and we intend to host it per annum,” Kayihura told The New Times yesterday. "The objective of this art exhibition is to introduce local artists to regional experts, who are more experienced and exposed.”The event will include showcasing arts designed to celebrate the variety of arts and cultural activities in the region. The showcase will include stalls and entertainment."The range of talent on display will be impressive,” he said.Kayihura has been in the art industry for the last 17 years and had art galleries in Kenya, Uganda and America.
