Staffs at the Rwanda Mining Association from different parts of the country took time off last Friday and visited Ntarama Genocide Memorial in Eastern Province’s Bugesera District to pay tribute to victims of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsis.
Staffs at the Rwanda Mining Association from different parts of the country took time off last Friday and visited Ntarama Genocide Memorial in Eastern Province’s Bugesera District to pay tribute to victims of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsis.
The director of the association, Jean Malic Kalima, who spoke on behalf of other members visiting the memorial site said that every member of the association’s staff who participated in the remembrance event will go back home as an ambassador advocating for the fight against genocide ideology in the country and abroad.
The staff donated Rwf 2.5million to facilitate the memorial’s work to conserve the history of the genocide.
A representative from the National Commission for the fight against Genocide (CNLG), Gaspard Gasasira, thanked the Rwanda Mining Association staff for joining hands together in the remembrance event.
