Rwanda Development Board staff commemorate Genocide

Rwanda Development Board (RDB) staff on Thursday held a Walk to Remember in honour of victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.Clare Akamanzi, the CEO of RDB, said their visit was also aimed at reflecting on Rwandan history. "We relate this year’s theme of self reliance to our target, as RDB, of promoting the country’s development because remembrance strengthens our resolve to do our best to achieve self reliance,” she said at the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, Gisozi.The members of staff handed over Rwf1,000,000 contribution towards activities of the memorial centre. They also paid tribute to the over 250,000 victims buried at the site.
