Host nation Rwanda start their 2023 FIBA Women Afrobasket campaign on Friday, July 28, when they face Côte d'Ivoire in a highly-anticipated showdown at 6 pm.
The week-long continental basketball showpiece, which runs until August 5, will attract 12 teams which are divided into four groups.
Rwanda and Cote d’Ivoire are pooled in Group A alongside Angola.
Cheikh Sarr’s women are anticipating a bright start to the campaign with a win against the Elephants before taking on Angola in the second group phase game on Sunday, July 30, 6pm.

The path to the quarter-finals hinges on Rwanda's performance in the group stage.
If they finish top of Group A, they will automatically qualify for the quarter-finals. Otherwise, finishing second or third will leave them a mountain to climb with a further classification round game against a Group B opponent to stand a chance to advance to the quarter-finals.
The tournament promises to produce thrilling matchups as teams compete for the prestigious championship.
