Africa’s dream won’t be realised, unless we become united

Editor,

I live in South Africa, the country classified as Africa’s biggest economy, but I’ve found that Africa will not prosper without unity. Be that as it may, Africans need to stop stereotyping based on ethnicity, tribes, religion and all sorts of childish discrimination.

Here, the locals look on and attack foreigners who they perceive to be their competitors. Lately, they even kill Somali business owners. This is a sign of low self-esteem. We need to start acting as a unit if we are to advance this continent.

Let Africans first love themselves,  value themselves, and then we stop giving away our resources like our great grand fathers did. Thank you.
