Like Fufa, Ferwafa can also learn a lesson

Ugandans were very hopeful when the Cranes defeated Niger that after 30 years, they would qualify for the first time in the African Cup of Nations. But barely 24 hours later, many were shedding tears.

FUFA should have protested the fixing of the Bafana Bafana vs Zambia game a day after.

CAF is corrupt through and through and will always undermine the poor nations like Uganda.

On the other hand, South Africa was determined, Zambia qualified because they wanted to send two Cosafa countries to represent the south.

Lastly, much as the Cranes should always try to win all their matches regardless of where they are playing.

They should always play as one team. In the past it has been the issue of who sponsors them.

Now that GTV, MTN and individuals like Michael Ezra have started sponsoring Uganda Cranes, I don’t see why they can’t win all the matches.

Ferwafa should take a lesson of preparing the country’s national team such that they can win their first group fixtures because the champion is known after the three qualifying fixtures.

Rwanda rose to a good finish which was not fruitful to our nation, Had we won the first three qualifying games against Cameroon, Liberia and Equatorial Guinea, we could also be on the verge of going back to CAN finals after the 2004 Tunisia finals.
