FORMER La Jeunesse coach Emmanuel Ruremesha has joined Espoir FC for a one-year contract until the end of next season.
The former Amavubi assistant coach was recently reported to have signed to take charge of newly promoted Gicumbi FC but he chose to go for the Espoir challenge.
He replaces Hamiss Sogonya Kishi, who was sacked last week. "Yes I have signed a one-year contract with Espoir. They are a good team with ambition to become even better, so I am happy to be part of them.”
"I want to work again at the top level so I chose to go to Rusizi where I want to build a team around Rwandan players from that part of the country,” he noted.
Asked to explain what happened to the early reports that he had joined Gicumbi, the former Mukura and Kibuye tactician added, "I did not have any formal talks with the management of Gicumbi. I only helped their coach in their bid to gain promotion because he is a good friend of mine.”
Regarding his targets for next season, Ruremesha said he has been tasked to lead the team to higher ratings in the league.
"My major task is to bring the team to a higher level, so I will work with my managers to achieve our targets,” Ruremesha said yesterday.
Ruremesha helped Kibuye gain promotion to the national league in 2005-2006 season, since then he has coached different teams including Mukura (twice), Atraco, Rayon Sport and La Jeunesse.
