Banyana Banyana head coach Desiree Ellis has allayed fears that her striker Hildah Magaia's world cup tournament is over.
The star striker suffered an injury as she tried to put the ball over the line in the 48th minute for South Africa's goal in their 2-1 Group G defeat to Sweden at the Wellington International Stadium on Sunday.

It was feared that the injury would see Magaia sidelined for the rest of the World Cup but Ellis said that the attacker’s injury is not as serious as earlier feared and confirmed that she will be available for the next game.
"It was a little bit tougher for her to come back. But you know, we have a good squad,” Ellis said.

"Unfortunately, she couldn't continue. But she should be okay for the next game."
South Africa will lock horns with Argentina on Friday, July 28 at the Forsyth Barr Stadium.

Meanwhile, skipper Refiloe Jane has confirmed that all disputes with the South African federation over appearance fee of $30,000 to each player that had previously been promised by FIFA has been settled.
"All the contractual disputes that we had were resolved,” Refiloe said.
"We came into New Zealand having sorted all our problems. And when we left South Africa, we assured the nation that everything had been in order. So coming into this tournament our focus has been just focusing on football.”
