Rwanda lost by two wickets against Tanzania to finish last at the revamped regional ICC U-17 boys’ tournament that winded up on Friday in Uganda’s capital, Kampala.

The first timers who had set 140 after winning the toss could not defend their total as Tanzania roared to their lone win of the tournament after scoring 141 for eight wickets.

Meanwhile, pre-tournament favorites Uganda were forced to shrink before their home crowd after losing to arch-rivals and eventual winners Kenya.

Uganda who had been spot on against Rwanda and Tanzania failed to keep the rhythm against Kenya as they lost by three wickets.

Uganda set 177 and Kenya chased down the target for the loss of seven wickets to emerge as the region’s U-17 champions.

Meanwhile, Sulfo league action continues today with an exciting clash between defending champions Challengers and the in-form Indorwa side.

After back to back wins against Right Guards and Young Tigers, Indorwa will fancy their chances for yet another victory against Challengers who lost to Young Tigers in their opening Sulfo league tie.
