APR’s Dutch born tactician Rene Feller exposed Atraco’s major weakness in this year’s MTN Peace Cup which concluded on Friday with APR walloping Atraco 4-0.

Feller who told Sunday Sport on Friday said that his team’s triumph over the taxi-men club didn’t come as a surprise but was earlier planned.

"I had analyzed the weak points of Atraco prior to the game and every body on my team knew the weaknesses which in the end favored our way to the deserved victory.”

"Whereas my boys were still fresh in the warm ups, Atraco had worn out.”

"Atraco’s major weakness has always been the same; playing a physical body game. They are technically and tactically poor and this was a major point which earned us deserved victory.”

"I knew that if my boys played their physical body game, this would have been Atraco’s game but my youth studded side which was tactical and mentally equipped knew where and when they would penetrate,” Feller said.

Feller who won his first silverware for the military side is confident his youth studded side will win more trophies in his career at APR.

"If my boys could master the modern football tactics and techniques that we are offering at the military side camp, then APR will sweep home all the trophies on this continent,” Feller added.

Feller guided APR to their eighth national Peace Cup after a 4-0 spectacular victory over Atraco yesterday at Nyamirambo stadium.

APR lifted their third Peace Cup in row thanks to Hegman Ngoma, Elias Ntaganda and Elias Uzamukunda second half brace to record Atraco’s most humiliating defeat by APR in recent years.

APR repeated the 2006 and 2007 edition where they defeated Atraco on the finals to lift the Peace Cups respectively.

In 2006, APR under coach Ntagwabira defeated Atraco 2-0 to lift their first Peace cup in a period of three years.

In 2007, APR under sacked coach Andy Mfutila defeated Atraco 3-1 to lift their 7th title.

Apart from the Frw. 5 millions cash prize given to APR sponsors MTN, the military side scooped Frw. 2 millions from APR management gave them Frw. 2 millions and President Paul Kagame offered them another Frw. 5 millions for the MTN Peace Cup triumph.

This year’s championship was sponsored Mobile Telecommunication providers MTN Rwandacel to a tune of Frw. 20 millions.
