KANO. Nigerian troops in Kano State in the northwest of the West African country on Wednesday said they raided a warehouse stuffed with sophisticated military hardware at Bompai area of the state.The troops were said to have stormed the house after the resident of the house was arrested, upon search of the Bungalow, cache of arms and ammunition were discovered beneath the sitting room and some wardrobe in the house that were used to store-pile weapons.A security source told Xinhua that the discreet operation was carried out following a tip off by a suspect who is under investigations.The source said the warehouse belongs to a foreigner of the Middle East which is located at Bompai, few meters away from the police state headquarters and the headquarters of the Nigerian Immigration Service.Highly sophisticated military hardware that include, about 40 Air to surface Missiles, 50 bombs, about 200 Rocket Propel Launcher, 8 AK 47 Riffles, 200 military hand grenades, uncountable numbers live ammunition’s and some military hard wares.The discovered weapons were taken to the headquarters of the military in Bukavu Barracks and two other nationals of the same Middle East have been arrested in connection with the startling discovery in a whole three nations are involved.Spokesperson of the Joint Military Task Force (JTF) in Kano, Lieutenant Ikedichi Iweha, confirmed the discovery but decline to give much details.
