Editor,This is in reference Dr. Joseph Kamugisha’s commentary, Why false positive HIV test can mislead clinicians, published in The New Times on May 27. Thank you for this very important post Doctor.Please allow me to speak about a different subject. As you know, Hepatitis B Vaccine (HBV) is currently available but it’s given to some medical doctors – which is very good and I am happy for that. However, medical students should also be remembered because they are prone to contracting Hepatitis B virus.I raise this issue because in some countries, especially Africa, we do not care much about the issue. They (medical students) too need the vaccine while in their rotational years in hospitals. Jean-Pierre ,Bucyebucye, Kigali
