KIGALI Independent University (ULK) has sent four teams into the finals of Private Inter-universities Games today at Amahoro stadium.

ULK reached the volleyball finals in men’s category after edging out Catholic University of Kabgayi 3-2 and they will take on Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Education of Kibungo (INATEK), who ousted Rwanda Tourism University College (RTUS) 3-0.

In the women’s category, ULK, who beat Institute of Applied Sciences INES 3-0, face Université Laïque Adventistes de Kigali (UNILAK) who also ousted RTUC 3-0 in the last four.

After snatching a 2-0 win over UNILAK,  ULK face stiff contest against RTUC who humiliated Catholic University of Kabgayi with a 7-1 drubbing. The final match is due to be played at Stade de Kigali.

In basketball, ULK beat Catholic University of Kabgayi 79-21 to progress to the final where they will meet Institute of Applied Sciences INES who also saw off RTUC 72-69 in the men’s category while UNILAK, who beat ULK 38-27, take on INES who beat Catholic University of Rwanda 22-19 in the women’s category finals.
