Riderman to release new album

Hip-hop artiste Riderman, who shot to fame with his glass shattering Rutenderi track more than four years ago, is releasing his fourth album in September.

Hip-hop artiste Riderman, who shot to fame with his glass shattering Rutenderi track more than four years ago, is releasing his fourth album in September.Riderman, plans to release a 13-track album called Kwibambura. The rapper told The New Times that everything is in place and the details for the launch will be announced soon."There is music and it’s coming!” he said."My fourth album is now complete. I have been putting it together for a long time and my fans should be ready for a great album launch,” said Riderman."I haven’t decided the actual date yet because I am still busy with the Primus Guma Guma competition. But as soon as the competition ends, I’ll concentrate on the launch,” he added.The artiste, who is known for songs like, Umwana w’ umuhanda, Nakoze iki, cisha make, ibyahishiwe and several others that defined his style of music, cannot wait to launch the album to his fans.For now, he is gearing up for the 3rd edition of the Primus Guma Guma SueprStar music competition. Riderman is among the 11 artistes eying Rwf24 million cash prize. Emery Gatsinzi, better known by his stage name Riderman, is a Rwandan musician and rapper.The artiste has released four full-length studio albums under his label Ibisumizi in partnership with his producers, T. Brown, First Boy and Fazzo.His last full studio album dubbed, Igicaniro was released in 2011.Riderman was born in 1987 to father Etienne Rukwavu and mother Peruth Kantetere. He was the first of five children, born into a devout Christian family. The 26-year-old formed his first group, UTP, in 2006. Later he formed a band called Soldier with two other teenage boys, performing as the group’s lead singer before embarking on a solo career and releasing his first solo album on 28 December 2009.Riderman has performed with many of the major international acts that have played in Rwanda, including Sean Paul, Mr. Flavour, Elephant Man, Koffi Olomide, Brick and Lace and Sean Kingston. Alongside his musical career, Riderman is also a student persuing a degree in Tourism Management at Rwanda Tourism University College.
