BRAD Pitt has revealed he was wasting his life on drugs before he met Angelina Jolie. But the Hollywood star said he now lives for the company of Angelina, 37, and their six kids — and has "very few” other friends. Brad, 49, said: "I have a handful of close friends and I have my family — and I haven’t known life to be any happier.” He has been reflecting on life in the wake of Angelina’s revelation last week she had a double mastectomy — after finding she had genes that put her at increased risk of cancer. He said it was "heroic” and backed her desire for "a long and healthy life, with myself and our children”. The Fight Club actor revealed he loves the mayhem that comes with having a large family. He said: "I always thought that if I wanted to do a family, I wanted to do it big.  "I wanted there to be chaos in the house. There’s constant chatter in our house, whether it’s giggling or screaming or crying or banging. I love it.” But Pitt — married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston, 44, from 2000 to 2005 — has revealed things were far from idyllic before he made a "conscious change”. He said: "For a long time I thought I did too much damage — drug damage. I was a bit of a drifter and wanted to see things. "But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity. "This was about a decade ago. It was an epiphany — a decision not to squander my opportunities.” Pitt also told Esquire magazine that he thinks he suffers from prosopagnosia — an inability to recognise faces. He revealed: "So many people hate me because they think I’m disrespecting them.”
