Hip-hop musician Aisha Uwimana, better known by her stage name Ciney, yesterday said that she is working around the clock to have her first album lunched before end of August this year.
Hip-hop musician Aisha Uwimana, better known by her stage name Ciney, yesterday said that she is working around the clock to have her first album lunched before end of August this year.Recently, the musician released a single dubbed Ndabaga II which has become a popular play at local FM radio stations. "I am working hard to ensure that I launch my first album that will at least have twelve songs and nine of these songs are already done with their videos,” she said.Ndabaga II is a collabo with Jules Sentore and Ziggy 55, a well known radio presenter on City Radio. The song was produced by Traxlayer of Touch records. Ciney came on the music scene in 2010 and has been able to make collabos with various local artistes including Paccy, Knowless, D-Pinc, Jay Polly and Ril-P. Her songs include High School, Ndabaga 1, Nkunda, Ngwino Nkwereke and Game of Love, her most popular single. "I am planning to make collabos with regional musicians and this will take my music further and give me more fans. These are the advantages that come with working with elders in the music industry,” she said.The musician said that although she had not yet finalised on who to work with exactly, she expressed interest in working with Uganda`s renowned hip hop star Navio, and songstress Jackie Chandiru among others. About Ciney Uwimana was born in Gabon but was raised in Rwanda. She is an outstanding young talented female star with a unique touch to her music. She started her music career in 2010 with her first audio track titled Game of Love featuring Paccy, Knowless and D.Pink. She followed it with various tracks which brought her fame and success.
