Editor,This is in reference to Paul Ntambara’s opinion, “Lessons from Rwanda Day London”, published in The New Times yesterday. I read and found it to be a fantastically great article.
Editor,This is in reference to Paul Ntambara’s opinion, "Lessons from Rwanda Day London”, published in The New Times yesterday. I read and found it to be a fantastically great article. I do agree with the writer’s interpretation of President Kagame’s keynote address to Rwandans in the diaspora. But I liked this famous quote that "The world owes us nothing”. This is probably the most poignant and sobering line President Kagame delivered. As a returner from the Diaspora, I find particularly interesting the part where you mentioned about some of us going abroad daydreaming to find greener pastures there. That’s not true and we have to change our minds if we really want to achieve prosperity. This is just pure fantasy.Prosperity is a state of mind. The richest man in the world may also be the one with the poorest spirit. As has been said countless times, "dignity” is the way forward. Rukundo, Kigali, Rwanda
