Kalisa retained in Caf’s new appointments

Former Ferwafa CEO Jules Kalisa has been appointed CAF’s Match Coordinator in the appointments of the new members of continental football body’s standing committees for 2013-2015.

Former Ferwafa CEO Jules Kalisa has been appointed CAF’s Match Coordinator in the appointments of the new members of continental football body’s standing committees for 2013-2015.The Confederation of African Football’s Executive Committee, in its meeting in Cairo on May 15 and 16, approved the appointments following a new system of selection.Though the full list is yet to be published, Kalisa, who was on the jury and appeals commission has been elevated to the General Coordinator of CAF matches and activities.Other Rwandans appointed include; Ferwafa boss Celestin Ntagungira to both the Cecafa region referees’ commission as well as U20 committee, his Secretary General Michel Gasingwa has been appointed on the disciplinary commission.Ferwafa’s vice president Raoul Gisanura is on the U17 commission organising committee.The Executive Committee confirmed the dates of the 2014 Orange African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will be held from January 11 to February 1, 2014. The draw for the finals will take place on September 18 in Cairo.
