Rwanda drawn in tricky pool C of U19 World Championships

Rwanda U19 Volleyball national have been drawn in pool C along side European giants in the FIVB Boys’ U19 at World Championship, to be held in Tijuana and Mexicali of Baja California from June 27 to July 7.

Rwanda U19 Volleyball national have been drawn in pool C along side European giants in the FIVB Boys’ U19 at World Championship, to be held in Tijuana and Mexicali of Baja California from June 27 to July 7.Rwanda will play against France, Russia, Iran and Finland at the High Performance Centre in Tijuana.The draws were held in Tijuana, Mexico on Friday. The composition of the four pools for the FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship will have 20 teams.In Pool A, Mexico, China, Belgium, Tunisia and Poland at the High Performance Centre in Tijuana, while Argentina Japan, Chile, Turkey and Cuba will compete in Pool B at the State Auditorium in Mexicali.Pool D matches will be played in Mexicali with top-seeded Brazil and United States being joined by teams from Egypt, South Korea and Algeria.One of the special guests the ceremony was Ivan Contreras, the legendary captain of Mexico Men’s Senior National Team, considered the all-time best Mexican player.Meanwhile, Rwanda team will not train in Brazil ahead of the competition, according to head coach Jean Marie Nsengiyumva. He said, "We are arranging to pass via Turkey to play a few friendly matches before the event, we will not go to Brazil because our arrangement with our coordinators have not yielded anything.”About the group, the Kigali Volleyball Club coach noted, "We have a tough group but all teams are good so we will go there with a strong mentality of winning and we are ready for anyone.”
