The junior, a national U21 team will hold one-week training camp in Europe ahead of the FIVB World Cup scheduled to be held from August 22 to September 1 in Istanbul, Turkey.The national volleyball governing body, FRVB is in talks with both Germany and Holland to see which country offers the best option for what officials are referring to as a "high intensity” training camp as Rwanda prepares for a debut at the word championships.According to the Rwanda volleyball federation chairman, Gustave Nkurunziza, whichever country is chosen, the camp will be held in early August where the team will play a series of friendly matches before connecting to Istambul. "We have contacted our (Rwandan) embassies in both Germany and Holland, and we are positive we’ll be able to secure these friendly matches for the team,” Nkurunziza told Times Sport on Saturday.The tournament will provide a platform for the next generation of stars to showcase their skills on the international stage and potentially take the big step into the giant world of the senior ranks.Tunisia, Egypt, Rwanda and Morocco will represent Africa. Other teams include; USA, Canada, Mexico, host Turkey, Italy, Japan, China, Iran, India, Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela.Russia are the defending champions after their success in Brazil in 2011, their eighth in 11 appearances in the competition.Rwanda will face other big countries in volleyball including a double South American threat – from Argentina and Brazil – as well as from Europeans Serbia, Poland and Italy.
