Mother’s Day, is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of May. To honour the country’s mothers, The New Times Publications, in partnership with The Point, organised an essay competition in which people wrote a letter or poem of not more than 400 words as a tribute to their mothers or any mother figure in their lives.Out of the 50 essays that were received by The New Times, seven lucky winners received their prizes yesterday at a dinner gala at the Serena Hotel in Kigali.
