Sir Alex Ferguson this week announced he will retire as football manager at the end of the season, ending his illustrious 27 years at the helm of Manchester United, during which he won 38 trophies, including 13 domestic league titles and two champions league trophies. His fellow Scot and Everton manager David Moyes was immediately named as the new manager for the Old Trafford side.
