The national football league table leaders Atraco Fc have confirmed that their Ugandan international winger Joseph Kabagambe is not for sale at any price.
Atraco vice president Issa Ngenzi made the declaration yesterday in reaction to reports that Uganda Super League club Nalubaale Fc are interested in signing the former SC Villa and Express player last month.
"Nalubaale is willing to sign the player but we have turned down their offers because the player is committed to our club and we don’t need to sell him to any price,” Ngenzi said.
Kabagambe recently renewed his stay in Rwanda after penning a Frw2.4 million two-year contract with the taxi-men club.
However, Nalubaale who wants to start next season on a bright note wanted to buy out the contract offering Frw4.2 million which was rejected by the Rwandan club.
After failing to secure the signature of Kabagambe, Nalubaale are reported to be turning the attention to Rayon Sport Ugandan midfielder Jimmy Kidega.
And close sources indicate that Rayon club president Paul Muvunyi is willing to release the player if the Ugandan club comes up with a suitable offer.
"We can release Kidega if Nalubaale pays a certain amount of money (unidentified) for the transfer of the player,” Muvunyi told Times Sport yesterday.
