Amavubi Stars defender Hamad Ndikumana ‘Katauti’ is ready to sacrifice everything for Rwanda in her campaign to reach the next phase of the 2010 World/Africa Cup finals qualifying campaign.

The Cyprus based professional, who is carrying out individual drills at Remera be he returns to his club, Omonio Fc said over the weekend that he and teammates will do everything possible to enable Rwanda reach the penultimate qualifying round.

"We (players) have set ourselves a target, which is to win the remaining fixtures, starting with Mauritania (away) and then Ethiopia (at home).

"After facing then in the first leg, we have now have knowledge about out opponents, fear we hope to take advantage of as we seek maximum points off them,” Ndikumana noted. The former Rayon Sports ace insisted that Amavubi Stars wouldn’t collapse in their pursuit of a place in Angola.

"There is no science about the qualification process this time round. Unlike in the last campaign, we just have to win our remaining two games and we will be there. Every player knows it,” emphasized the experienced defender.

As part of ensuring a successful campaign, Amavubi Stars will camp in Nouakchott for a week in preparation for the game against Mauritania where a victory for Rwanda will almost guarantee their progress to the third and final qualifying phase of the 2010 World/Africa Cup qualifiers.

Rwanda lie second in group eight, level on nine points with Morocco but with a slim eight goals scored against the Atlas Lions’ ten scored.

Ethiopia are third on six points and Rwanda’s next opponents Mauritania are bottom without a point.
