Kibungo Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Education, INATEK assistant coach-player Pierre Kwizera Marshal has tipped the league entrants to win the league this year.

INATEK beat APR and GSOB respectively last weekend to lead the league table standing with 12 points.

Today in Group Three, the newest team in the league will take on former champions Kigali Volleyball Club and Christ Roi and later KVC host Christ Roi at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.

In Group One, the defending champions APR will play against Lycee de Nyanza and Rusumo High school while LDN plays with RHS, all games will be played at Rusumo High school.

In Group Two, National University of Rwanda will play against Groupe Scoraile de Butare and St Joseph, while GSOB will meet ST JOSEPH in the afternoon.

"It’s just the start of the season but with the way we have started our first season in the league, I think we’re favourites to win the title. Everyone will now want to beat but it will be very difficult for any team to match us.

"We are a new team in the league but full experience and very good players. But we must remain positive and ensure that we take one match at a go,” the vastly experienced former APR centre told Sunday Sport.

In women category Group One, defending champion APR meet their rivals Rwanda Revenue Authority and St Joseph, while in Group Two Ruhango take on St Aloys and Nyanza.

INATEK lead with 12 points, followed by APR and NUR with 10 points each, while former national league champions KVC are bottom with 4 points.
