National Football League side Mukura Victory Sports have suspended striker Emmanuel Sebanani aka Crespo for up to four months with immediate effect on disciplinary grounds.

"We have suspended him for four months after giving him enough second chances hoping that he would change. But he has remained defiant and continuing with his misdemeanors. Mukura is a respected club, and no one is bigger the club,” Secretary General, Olivier Mulindahabi told Sunday Sport on Friday. 

Mulindahab added, "His behavior has been wanting for some time, and the club believes he needs some time off to sort out his own life before returning to the game. Personally I think the suspension will probably help him to come back a better player (behavior-wise).”

According to the club, the former APR starlet has been involved in ‘sparring games’ with the hierarch on a number of occasions since he returned to the Huye-based side this season after spending three disappointing seasons with APR.

Early in the season, the undoubtedly talented striker went missing from the club for about two months and when he reappeared, it was reported that he was going out for professional trials in Oman, which didn’t go well for him before he returned home.

If the club thought a stint in Oman, however short, would change him in terms of discipline, they were wrong as since his return, according to Mulindahabi, Crespo, as he is commonly referred to, took off from where he left by refusing to attend training sessions without giving reasons.

He has, on a couple of occasions, been involved in "heated arguments” with his coach Cedric Kaze on the training ground and some time refuses to take the coach’s instructions during matches. 

It is not the first time Sebanani was suspended, in 23 December 2011, APR suspends him due to the indiscipline, and later the temperamental striker joined local Hip-Hop star Jay Polly and Kiyovu right back Djuma Niyonkuru Radju to release a single "Umukino Nyawo”.

His latest suspension means he will miss the last four league matches and the team’s campaign in the Peace Cup in which Mukura will face Muhanga in the quarterfinal, plus the first two months of next season.
