Rwanda’s promising rider, Janvier Hadi will compete in this year’s Individual Time Trial cycling race scheduled for Sunday in Bugesera District, the organizers have confirmed.
Hadi, who rides for UCI Continental Center in South Africa, will compete in the one-day competition, which aimed to help the riders to learn the Time Trial Racing.
The 19-year old returned to the country on Thursday along with Benediction Club rider Bonaventure Uwizeyimana, who competed in this year Tour of Mzanzi 2013 last weekend.
This is the second race of its kind after the one held last month, which was won by Rubavu-based Benediction Cycling Club held at the Free Trade Zone in Gasabo District.
The main objective of the race is to train local riders on how to compete in Time Trial races (Race against watch). The 20km race will start from Gashora and end at Nyamata.
The 21 riders include; Hassan Rukundo (Cine Elmay), Abraham Ruhumuriza (CCA), Joseph Biziyaremye (CCA), Emmanuel Rudahunga, Valens Ndayisenga, Joseph Aleluya and Ephrem Tuyishimire, who all race for Les Amis sportif.
Others are; Bonaventure Uwizeyima, Gasore Hategeka, Jean Bosco Nsengiyumva, Innocent Uwamungu, Jeremie Karegeya, Emille Bintunimana, Nathan Byukusenge, Patrick Byukusenge (Benediction Club) and Janvier Hadi, who races for UCI Continental Centre in South Africa.
The women riders include; Clementine Niyonsaba, Beathe Ingabire, Benitha Uwamarayika, Jeanne d’Arc Girubuntu, based in Les Amis Sportifs, and Jeannette Uwimana of Fly Club.
