I would like to appeal to national sports federation to find ways of attracting sponsors.This may have been sounded over and over but it is necessary and sports world knows that can’t do without sponsors.

Sponsors are the sole contributors who will help in elevating the country’s sports standards to an outstanding level.

It is known as much as you may benefit from sponsors, they too gain from these sporting activities and that is why sports industry must set up competitive leagues in the country.

For some years, Bralirwa has been sponsoring the national soccer league branding it Primus league but recently, Bralirwa pulled out their sponsorship without giving any reason.

You should however understand that their pulling out was only a trick, they didn't pull out because they had run bankrupt but it was just because the national soccer league was not competitive enough neither do they see any other sponsor to compete with.

Ferwafa and other federations should find ways of strengthening their leagues to attract more sponsorship from different corporate entities in the country.

Sports in many cases is used as a way of branding and many companies would wish to associate to a good sport; take a step ahead and find other means of attracting sponsors, we need to hear of cups like coca cola cup, Ocir the Bancor etc.
