HUYE -- Six people died on spot early this morning in a road accident involving a Sotra coaster and a Gaaga bus in Rubona, Huye District, Southern Province, Police have said. 

The Gaaga bus was from Kampala en route to Bujumbura, while the Sotra coaster was from Rusizi heading to Kigali.

Passengers in the Sotra bus were the most affected, according to medical sources.

Eyewitnesses say that about 20 passengers sustained injuries, with some in critical condition.
