Whether we are aware or not, colour and light are the basic elements of life. Colours can either relax or stimulate a person thereby leading to a tendency to affect ones behaviour.

Some colours when looked at generate various sensations in people. This happens due to gland secretions and variations in blood pressure that occur as a result of the colour effect on an individual.

Wearing clothes of different colours can determine a person’s mood and some one else can tell the condition of another by just looking at them.

Red
This is a primary colour that is warm. Red favours adrenaline secretion, raises blood pressure and stimulates blood circulation. Red also entices the senses and causes some one to remain dynamic and active. It also generates sensations of attraction from onlookers.

Wearing red is recommended for shy people or someone who is experiencing a low mood.

Orange
This is a mixture of red and yellow. It softens the colour red without cancelling it. Orange favours optimism and activity.

Wearing orange means a person is feeling energetic, brilliant and friendly.

Yellow
This is a primary colour and because of its brightness, it is ideal for depressed persons. When worn with tones of red it becomes very inviting. The liveliness of the colour yellow entices optimism.

On the other hand just like light too much yellow causes fatigue.

Green
This is a secondary colour got when blue and yellow are mixed. Green is a very balanced colour. Green is natures colour and it favours rest and serves as an antidote against stress. Someone wearing green always depicts a serene mood.

Blue
Blue is a cool colour. This primary colour invites serenity and relaxation in people. It helps with decreasing blood pressure levels and slows down metabolism.

Wearing colour blue is recommended for nervous people. When going for a job interview and you are nervous, blue is the best colour to wear.

Purple
This is a colour utilized in religious contexts. Purple invites silence, serenity and concentration. However excess purple can cause depression.

Someone wearing purple is always seems intimidating to others.

Black
This is the absence of colour. Black portrays clear-headedness and when in limited tones it depicts discipline and self determination. Since all dark colours seem to limit space wearing black always makes someone look slimmer.

On the other hand wearing excess black can cause sorrow, produce discomfort and even tiredness.

White
Unlike black, white contains all colours in equal proportion. Because of this the colour white is therefore equated to balance. However the colour white makes all defects obvious.

Wearing white offers an impression of purity and simplicity that is why it is used for making wedding gowns to represent purity.

Colours when well blended always make people look smart, stylish and lift up ones moods but if colours are misguided when worn, one looks like a Christmas tree and disorganized.
