The first ever international cricket stadium in the country will cost an estimated US$40,000 (approx Rwf26.8m), Rwanda Cricket Association chairman Charles Haba has said.The stadium will be built in Kicukiro District, where Cricked Association has already secured four hectors of land for the ambitious project, which is expected to start in September."Rwandan cricket has come of age since its conception in 1999. We have made commendable progress despite major infrastructural challenges,” Haba told Times Sport on Friday.The long-serving RCA boss added: "We are trying to get the sponsorship and donations to help us build this stadium, which, if everything goes according to plan, will be finished next year and once it is complete, it will help us develop the sport.”Meanwhile, the Rwanda Cricked Association organised a two-day training session for local sports journalists in a bid to equip them with skills on how to report the game.Twenty journalists from different media houses attended the training in Kigali.
