Didier Ganza, a Rwandan music video director based in America has hooked up with Cassa Manzi, another Rwandan living in Canada to shoot the music video of the latter’s latest single, Ndakwikundira.
Didier Ganza, a Rwandan music video director based in America has hooked up with Cassa Manzi, another Rwandan living in Canada to shoot the music video of the latter’s latest single, Ndakwikundira."We’re trying to nail a great video that will be released soon. Cassa is already here, and we are working on something that Rwanda has never witnessed in the music scene,” Ganza told The New Times.Early this year, Ganza was in South Africa where he produced several music videos and documentaries for popular South African Jabulani Tsambo, alias Hip Hop Pantsula. Pantsula, who was recently on the cover of Rolling Stone South Africa, has worked with artistes like Nas, Talib Kweli, and Snoop Dogg.Ganza also directed Alpha Rwirangira’s single "African Swagger” and U.S rapper Hoodwink’s "Flawless” video.Ganza heads SO Africa Entertainment, a group of artistes, graphic designers, entrepreneurs, cinematographers, rappers and singers based in the USA and around the world. The group encourages positive thought through artistic work and hopes to inspire young Africans to follow in its footsteps.Since 2009, Ganza has been based in the US, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Film and Entertainment Business at Full Sail University. He is expected to graduate this summer.Cassa is a song writer/singer and dancer, who started his career in 1998 as a dancer with the famous group Cool Family. When the group parted ways in 2006, Cassa went solo as a musician and released his debut single ‘My dance floor’. He followed it with many other songs such as Imyaka3 and Ihorere. During his music career, Cassa has performed with Quincy Jones, and was part of the "One million voices” project, which is an album that brought together various artistes to raise awareness against the Genocide in Darfur.He has graced the stage with stars like Lupe Fiasco, Dela Soul, Juno Award Winner Mighty Popo and The Toronto Male’s Chorus, among others.
