French artiste releases Kinyarwanda song

Rwanda-based French artiste Guillaume Ckrand has released a single dubbed Rwanda uri nziza pe! and its video. The singer has been in Rwanda for two years.

Rwanda-based French artiste Guillaume Ckrand has released a single dubbed Rwanda uri nziza pe! and its video. The singer has been in Rwanda for two years. In an interview with The New Times, Ckrand said he was inspired to learn how to speak Kinyarwanda because he loves the language and the country’s culture.The Rwanda urinziza pe song was written by Kim Claire Umutesi, a Rwandan artiste based in Senegal and was produced by Prince."When I see how people have liked this song, it inspires me a lot to come up with more other songs. A big number of people have already watched it on Youtube. It has over 4700 views in a very short period of time,” Ckrand says.Ckrand is famous for his French songs that include, ‘Je n’ai jamais trouvé l’amour and II suffisait de toi, among others. He says he will soon be releasing two more songs in French. He is planning to launch an album that will have at least ten songs. The Frenchman is planning to do collabs with Intore Masamba.Masamba is known for his traditional musical talent not only in Rwanda but even beyond.Ckrand is planning to put his song on different sites including Amazon, Deezer, Emusic and Google music among others.The French singer has worked with different artistes including rapper Doudou Man and Deesse Mamy from Niger, Djiko from Chad and Mirya TPK from Cameroun among others.
