While at school, children like playing on swings. Some of these swings are made out of wood, metal or plastic.

During break time, children compete to play on the swing and if not monitored, they can easily get hurt.

Monitoring children while playing is very important because it protects them from getting accidents which can cause wounds.

Swings should not be higher than the children’s height. They should be placed at least on a low level where a child of 2 to 5 years can climb easily.

Nursery schools should buy the idea of using wooden and plastic swings because they are more secure than those made out of metal.

If they develop rust, metal swings are dangerous. A child who gets a wound on such a swing is likely to pick tetanus.

It is therefore the teacher’s responsibility to protect children from getting wounded. This is by monitoring the children when playing on swings.
