A tight work schedule that barely gives you time to exercise is no excuse to be unfit. One can still keep fit and healthy even at the work place, especially through utilizing the breaks. Below are simple ways to keep healthy and fit even at work.

Use the stairs

Before you go to grab your cup of coffee and a snack, take a five minute break to just walk up and down the stairs. For those who want to lose weight, the stairs will do it for you. If you do this everyday you will burn some serious calories and feel more relaxed.

Walk around your work place

Often, if you spend most of your time on the computer, it’s wise to get up and walk around from time to time. Taking a brief walk around will help burn a few calories.

Do simple exercises

Do exercises like stretching your arms up and back and side bends (stand up and bend side by side, allowing your muscles to stretch). You can also do squats among other easy exercises –in a more secluded area of course.

Drink water/grab a fruit

If you are the kind who gets the urge to snack on junk during your work breaks, opt for water and fruits. Keep a water bottle and drink as much as you can. This will keep you satisfied, healthy and suppress the urge for unhealthy snacks.
