Before you become what you want to be you have to first find out who you really are. Not what you assume to be or what you tell people you are. The real you. And only you can do that.

Before you become what you want to be you have to first find out who you really are. Not what you assume to be or what you tell people you are. The real you. And only you can do that. You will begin to discover what your talents are, where your strength lies, and where you falter. In some ways, it is a great experience. In others, it is challenging and scary. But, this much I can say, it is certainly never a waste of time. Here are some tips on how to go about it. No one is perfect and you don’t have to beChasing after perfection is ridiculously unrealistic. It is pretty much compared to chasing the wind. Strive instead after goodness, greatness, even excellence. But not necessarily perfection. You will find yourself missing the mark and that will discourage you from doing anything to improve.Accept that there is already potential in you that must be developedEveryone has potential in them so never consider yourself useless. You are exactly who you are meant to be. With gifts and talents that others may not recognise because you have not put them out there to be seen.Reject the belief that everyone around you is better than you areJust because someone always gets better grades than you or is good at sports and lots of things doesn’t mean that you can’t do all that better. Well, nothing comes on a silver platter, you have to go get it and trust that you can do it better. Figure out what you love and what motivates youFind the one thing you can’t live without and do it. The doing bit is important, because if you don’t do it, you will find yourself doing something else that you may not enjoy doing.  In such a situation we are rarely as productive as we would be doing something out of sheer love.Admit that you can be wrongSometimes you will get a paper in your hand and it will have the worst marks you have ever heard seen. First thing everyone wants to do it create excuses and want to blame teachers or anyone other than themselves.  Well best thing is to accept the marks and learn from them. Do what you know you canTry to do those great things that you think you can do and do them to the best of your ability. It is amazing what comes up when we put actual and sincere effort into making our lives better.Do not give up when you failThere are tons of great people in history who failed over and over. How did they become great? They never gave up. They got up on Tuesday after Monday’s failure and took another three steps to make up for the two they’d fallen back. Remember, you’re striving to become better, not perfect.
