The world’s number one singing reality TV show, "The X Factor”, has berthed in Africa for the first time on the shores of Ghana courtesy of the telecoms operator, Glo Mobile Ghana.The show was unveiled at the Aphrodisiac Night Club in Accra, confirming Glo Mobile Ghana as the leading force that provides the platform for youths to unleash their entertainment passion.The ultimate winner of the spectacular show will cart home a handsome amount of $150,000, the biggest prize money in the continent’s music reality TV shows.The winner will also win a recording contract with the internationally acclaimed Sony Music to produce an album and professional management.Glo Ghana Head of Business, Patrick Awotwi said "Glo is proud to be the catalyst that brought about this development and the attendant excitement it will generate across the continent.”He said Africa has been yearning for a programme of this optimum quality and Glo is privileged to have made it possible.The "X Factor” has been successfully launched in major countries including UK, the United States, Albania, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany and Spain.Here in Africa, the month-long pre-auditions, which are the first stage, kicked-off in Port Harcourt on April 13 and will later hold in Abuja and Lagos.
