Financial constraints have forced APR Volleyball Club (Men) to withdraw from competing in this year’s Africa Club championships which will be held in Tripoli, Libya between April 19 and May 1.According to club chairman Jean Bosco Muyango, the national league champions have failed to secure sponsorship to finance their trip for the two-week tournament."We will not be there because we do not have money. We looked around to get sponsorship but we failed so we will wait for next year if we qualify,” he said.The competition brings together top teams from Africa. "I can assure you that we will not take part in tournament so we’ll instead focus on preparing for the start of the new season,” Muyango stated.APR women finished in sixth position at the just concluded African Club Championships held in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
