Dear editor,
Mandela recently celebrated his 90th birth day in London and used the occasion to solicit some money to save children living with HIV/AIDS.

I take this opportunity to thank him for having lived according to what people expected from him. He has unlike other leaders lived to his ideals as a peace loving person who is ready to help the vulnerable.

He offers big hope that may be Africa, could be having some other good leaders. Otherwise, we would be ‘rightly branded’ as failures, by our western friends.

That is why I still demand God to give Mandela so many other years, to celebrate so that other leaders can continue to contrast their work and his, the true son of Africa. That is why he spent 27 years in prison to liberate his people and country.
