Editor, I congratulate Mrs. Eva Gara for this fabulous idea. It is high time mothers are celebrated in Rwanda, and the whole of Africa for that matter. They are indeed the backbone of society; in fact they should be celebrated every day.
Editor, I congratulate Mrs. Eva Gara for this fabulous idea. It is high time mothers are celebrated in Rwanda, and the whole of Africa for that matter. They are indeed the backbone of society; in fact they should be celebrated every day. That special day, once in a year, will make a mark as the day we all recognise mothers as they hold a special place in everyone’s heart. Mothers are responsible for bringing us into this world, they are everything to us. Like you, this year I am hosting one of a kind "Pink Mother’s Day Lunch” at Lagos Island Cafe in Houston. Our theme is "Celebrate Your Mother as you Help Another”. Part of the proceeds will go to Breast Cancer Initiative East Africa Inc’s awareness and education efforts among East African communities. All the best!Philippa Kibugu-Decuir, Houston, Texas, USA*********************May God bless Eve for having thought of this much-needed special event to honor mothers. Dear Eve, this is really wonderful; mothers need to be recognised because they do some great work. As a mother myself, I feel it’s important to recognise the work done by my mother for me to be what I am today.
