Mali coach Patrice Carteron (pictured) has started preparations  ahead of their game against rivals Algeria next September in the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifying.The Frenchman says he intends to stock up three points ahead of their trip to Blida.Algeria lead Group H s ahead of Mali although both teams are tied at six points, with the Eagles hosting their next two fixtures against Benin and Rwanda."It would be very hard for us to beat Algeria on their home ground in Blida but we must do everything possible to win the game,” Carteron said recently."We aim to gain maximum points against Benin and Rwanda at home in Bamako and head to Algeria with a solid lead at the top of Group H; if we win all our games I hope we will achieve our target,” he said. Mali, who finished third at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations like in the previous edition, are aiming to book their place in Fifa World Cup finals for the first time.For Amavubi have lost two and drawn one of their three qualifying matches, and with trips to Benin and Mali and a home tie against Algeria still to come, it appears as though Rwanda’s chances of reaching the third and final qualifying round are all but over.
