RWANDA’S AMAVUBI Stars have slipped two places to 132nd in the latest Fifa rankings after their 2014 World Cup qualifying loss against Mali last month.Amavubi lost 1-2 to Mali in a Group H World Cup qualifier in Kigali and could only secure 228 points.Neighbours Kenya moved up four places to 122nd in the world having added nineteen points on the previous 247 to stand at 266 points. The latest upward surge is attributed to the last FIFA World Cup qualifier match where Kenya played to a 1-1 draw against African champions Nigeria who dropped one place to 31.Closer home in East Africa, Uganda dropped seven places to occupy 85th slot, Ethiopia went up five places to 112th, Tanzania up three places to 116th, Burundi is on 124th; and Sudan on 127th respectively.Ivory Coast still lead in African rankings, placed 12th overall on the world ranking table that still remains dominated by European countries. Ghana are 22nd having dropped two places, Mali 26th and African kings Nigeria are in 31st position world wide.Spain remains the best country overall, followed by Germany, Argentina, Croatia and Portugal in that top 5 order.
