The Cecafa secretariat has confirmed Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) and Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) as the official sponsors of this year’s Kagame club championship due in Dar es Salaam from July 12-26.

Cecafa Secretary General Nicholas Musonye told Times Sport on Friday that two Tanzanian companies have come on board.

According to Musonye, Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) has injected in $60.000 and will broadcast live all the fixtures while Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) has added in $80.000.

"Though both companies have agreed to sponsor the tournament, it will still remain called Cecafa/Kagame Club Championship. Their support is aimed at supplementing  President Kagame’s support,” Musonye said.

Musonye further noted that both companies hailed President Kagame for initiating the idea of sponsoring the annual championship in which the best players in the region have showcased their talent.

Musonye also confirmed that President Kagame $60.000 sponsorship package will, as always to into prizes while the packages form TBC and TBL will into the smooth running of the event.
