Ugandan lawmakers on Defence and Internal Affairs committee, yesterday, visited Rwanda National Police headquarters in Kacyiru, where they commended the force’s strategies in ensuring peace and security in the country.The 12-member team, led by the committee chairperson, Milton Muwuma, had visited the force to acquire more views on security and cooperation."We salute the Inspector General of Rwandan Police and Rwanda National Police, for the good work they are doing in keeping the country peaceful,” Muwuma said.The Inspector General of Police, Emmanuel K. Gasana briefed the lawmakers on the force’s activities, including supporting national development to ensure that the "government is moving ahead with no security hindrance.”Gasana said the MPs’ visit strengthens the existing cooperation between the two countries and forces in particular.
