The Evangelical Restoration Church has so far given out Rwf67 million to 36 cooperatives in four sectors of Kicukiro district.  The support, meant to fight poverty, is part of a three year Global Fund project the church is implementing in the district to support people infected and affected by HIV/Aids.

"We are not only targeting the most vulnerable population with financial support, but we have also trained them on how to run their business and operate in cooperatives,” Alphonse Seruhungo, the vice president of the church said on Tuesday during an event where another 12 cooperatives were given Rwf23 million.
