President Paul Kagame yesterday promoted 618 Police officers to various ranks.

Stanley Nsabimana was promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner General of Police (DCG), while 10 officers were promoted to the rank of Commissioner of Police, a Police statement received by The New Times last night says.

Fourteen officers were also promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police. 

The statement said the Minister of Internal Security also promoted 1,650 Non-Commissioned Officers.
