After a poor run of results, Amavubi head coach Milutin Sredojovic Micho has been sacked, according to officials from Rwanda Football Federation, Ferwafa. The Serb, who has been in charge of Amavubi since October, 2011, failed to guide Rwanda to the Africa Nations Cup finals this year. This month, his team failed to beat Mali at their home turf in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, falling 2-1. The former SC Villa and St. George tactician has been shown the exit door three months before Rwanda host Ethiopia in a final qualification round of the third edition of the Africa Nations Championships [CHAN] which will be held in South Africa next year. When contacted, Micho told this paper, "I don’t care whether I have been sacked or not but I am happy for all the work I have done for football in this nation.” Local football authorities have started a search for a new coach. Happy Fools Day!
