RWANDA national team secured third position in the ICC Africa U-19 Cricket World Cup Qualifiers after beating Mozambique in their final match on Friday at Sahara Park Willowmore Cricket complex in Johannesburg, South Africa.Rwanda beat Mozambique by 55 runs. They won the toss against Mozambique and elected to bat. Rwanda scored 158 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 50 over. C. Rubagumya scored 52* and C. Mwijanda scored 37 off 37 (4 fours). For Mozambique, Couwana took 2 wickets for 27 runs and Cossa took 2 wickets for 30 runs. Mozambique scored 103 for the loss of 10 wickets in 43.1 over with batting contribution from FD Couwana who scored 29 off 73 balls. Taking wickets were Theo Gatera with 2 for 19 and Don Dieu Mugisha 2 for 20. Rwanda tied on six points with Tanzania, who beat Gambia by 266 runs, but the East African neighbors secured second position with a better net run rate compared to Rwanda.Ghana were crowned champions after beating Swaziland by six wickets. Ghana won the toss and Swaziland decided to bat.Swaziland were bowled out for 121 in their 39th over with batting contribution coming in from T. Sandeep scoring 30 runs for the loss of 36 balls (3 fours) and B.L Chambers scoring 28 runs for the loss of 66 balls (1 four).
