Rwanda’s Youth Volleyball girls’ team will miss out on the world championships after losing all their three games at the ongoing Africa Youth Championships in Cairo, Egypt.Rwanda U17 lost the first game against Algeria 3-1 (18-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-19), they also lost against hosts Egypt 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-17) and in the last game, Paul Bitot’s team went down to Tunisia 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-15).Egypt finished top followed by Algeria and Tunisia and the three teams will represent Africa at the youth World Championships this year in Turkey. "It is good experience for our girls, we did not manage to win even one match but they have done their best to be here, they have a bright future,” national team coach Bitok said."It is good to compete with big teams in Africa because it helps us to get experience and compete on international level but we still have to work hard for this youth team,” the Kenyan trainer added.Rwanda’s Deborah Mpanoyimana was named the best libero in the tournament.
